For more than three decades, MATECH has turned unconventional technical problems into practical processes, equipment, and products.
01 — THE COMPANY
Materials and Technologies Corporation—MATECH—was founded in 1992 to create innovative products and technologies for demanding technical applications. The company is privately held and headquartered in Fishkill, New York.
Our work has crossed semiconductor fabrication, optoelectronics, optics, MEMS, solar technology, aerospace, defense, and government research. The common thread is not a particular industry. It is the kind of problem: technically difficult, multidisciplinary, and poorly served by conventional solutions.
02 — ORIGINS & LEADERSHIP
MATECH was founded by physicist Dr. Ricardo I. Fuentes, an MIT Ph.D. and former IBM Yorktown researcher. From the beginning, the company was structured around a simple idea: use deep scientific understanding to create technology that works in the real world.
That approach has produced dozens of patented process and technologies, specialized manufacturing equipment, aerospace and aircrew systems, and long-running collaborations with industrial customers, universities, NASA, and U.S. Government research organizations.
Consulting & product development →03 — TECHNOLOGY CREATED HERE
MATECH owns dozens of patents covering core technologies developed to remove limitations in conventional processing and chemical delivery.

MATECH CORE TECHNOLOGY04 — PROVEN REACH
MATECH has worked with prominent technology companies, universities, research institutions, and U.S. Government organizations. The company’s federal work dates to its founding.
Among its most visible contributions, MATECH developed fabrication equipment and process technology used to produce hundreds of delicate X-ray optical elements for Chandra and supported a total of nine NASA missions.
05 — MULTIDISCIPLINARY BY DESIGN
MATECH brings together the relevant science, engineering, process knowledge, and equipment experience rather than forcing a problem into a single specialty.
